Jono Hudson New GM Matetsi Victoria Falls

We are delighted to announce that Jono Hudson has been appointed as General Manager of Matetsi Victoria Falls, effective from 1st December 2019. Jono will be taking over from Franco Rienzo, who has been General Manager for the past 2.5 years. Franco is returning to his native Italy and has been a valued member of the Matetsi Victoria Falls family. The Gardiner family and wider Matetsi team thank Franco for his dedication and valuable contributions over the past years and wish him all the best for the future.

Jono and Franco have worked closely together over the past months and Jono looks forward to taking the reins and ensuring the continued success of the property. With over three decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Jono prides himself on delivering service excellence with authentic Zimbabwean hospitality. He comments: “It was a great pleasure working alongside Franco Rienzo for the past few months. I look forward to continuing his great work and elevating Matetsi Victoria Falls even further in 2020. I have a wonderful and supportive team and together, we look forward to welcoming back our loyal guests as well as new faces to experience the ‘Matetsi Magic’.”

Matetsi Victoria Falls Rebrand

Over the past two years, Matetsi Victoria Falls has undergone a successful rebrand and as a result, is proud to have secured both Virtuoso and Traveller Made affiliations, and has been positioned as No. 1 for Speciality Lodging in Victoria Falls on Tripadvisor. The property has received great acclaim from guests as well as incredible support from industry colleagues – all of which is tribute to the hard work and dedication of the Matetsi Victoria Falls team.
