Margi Jansma, Managing Director of Luxury Travel Marketing is no stranger to the travel industry, and her vast experience spans over the past 30 years and includes tenures with various international airlines and tourism companies. Margi’s 20 years prior to founding the company were spent gaining a thorough knowledge of the hospitality industry, heading up International Sales & Marketing for Southern Sun Hotels & Resorts (now Tsogo Sun) and following her move to Australia, Group Director of Sales & Marketing for the exclusive brand, Karma Resorts, where she was responsible for the opening of the world renowned Karma Kandara property. Travel is her passion, and she fully understands the needs of premium customers, and the product and sales training required to achieve results in the current operating environment. She is renowned for her ability to build and maintain long term strategic relationships in the industry. Margi holds an International Marketing Management degree and maintains incredibly strong relationships with key operators and upmarket retail travel trade in Australia and New Zealand.
Lauren McAlpine, Co-director, is an excellent relationship builder with an extremely high ‘EQ’. She previously worked as National Sales Manager for Luxury Travel Marketing before she was head-hunted to head up Global Partnership Sales for the APAC region for the luxury private home rental company, Onefinestay. She spent nearly 2 years in this role before returning to Luxury Travel Marketing, this time in a more strategic capacity, to help drive the business further. She is well-respected in the industry, with excellent sales skills coupled with strong industry experience and understanding. These skills, along with Lauren’s varied background in financial and business consulting, and measured approach to problem solving, make her a great asset in helping our clients grow their market share whilst navigating the intricacies of the ANZ market. Lauren holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with honours in Financial Analysis & Portfolio Management, and has also completed all three levels of the Chartered Financial Analyst™ qualification.
