Margi Jansma, Owner and Managing Director of Luxury Travel Marketing, is no stranger to the travel industry, her vast experience spanning over the past 30 years including tenures with South African Airways, Western Airlines, Swissair & Avis Rent a Car. Her last 22 years have been spent gaining a thorough knowledge of the hospitality industry, heading up International Sales & Marketing for Southern Sun Hotels & Resorts, now the Tsogo Sun Group. After her move to Australia in 2007, Margi was appointed as Group Director of Sales & Marketing for the exclusive premium leisure brand, Karma Resorts. The highlight and major challenge of this portfolio included the market entry of Karma’s flagship resort, Karma Kandara, on the “Island of the Gods”, Bali.
Hospitality is her passion, and she fully understands the needs of premium customers and the product and sales training required to achieve results in the current operating environment. She is renowned for her ability to build and maintain long term strategic relationships within the industry. Margi holds an International Marketing Management degree which helps fine-tune the valuable experience she has accumulated over the years.
Lauren is an excellent relationship builder with an extremely high EQ. Having grown up with a travelling family and doing ad hoc tour guiding and hospitality roles whilst studying at university, international adventure and top-notch hospitality come as second nature to her. After graduating from university with a financial honours degree, cum laude, she started her career in social impact investing and financial analysis in South Africa. However, after moving to Australia she quickly realised she was destined to work in the travel industry, becoming a fine advocate for the amazing destinations she has visited and lived in around the world.
Lauren previously worked as National Sales Manager for Luxury Travel Marketing before she was head-hunted to head up Global Partnership Sales in the APAC region for a luxury private home rental company, onefinestay. She spent nearly 2 years in this role before returning to Luxury Travel Marketing, this time in a more strategic capacity, to help drive the business further. She is extremely well-respected in the industry, with excellent sales skills coupled with strong industry experience and understanding. These skills, along with Lauren’s varied background and measured approach to problem-solving, make her a real asset in helping our clients grow their market share whilst navigating the intricacies of the travel trade in this region.
